A view of Rockville Bridge from behind doubleheaded steam pulling open-window coaches. The Lancaster Chapter NRHS excursion train powered by PRR 7002-1223 is heading west to just beyond the signal bridge, in order to back around the Buffalo wye for the return trip to Strasburg. The bridge, completed in 1902, is the longest stone masonry arch railroad bridge in the world. It has forty-eight arches and a length of 3,820 feet. The width is 52 feet, which originally accommodated four tracks.
