The 1957 NRHS convention was one for the history books. What, with excursions pulled by K's, A's, Y's, Ms, E's and even some Virginian power, what railfan could ask for any more? Here, at the remote Hamilton Trestle, the regularly scheduled train #5 from Bluefield, WVa to Norton, Va performs a photo runby coming out of the Holbrook tunnel. An extra E-class Pacific was added for the additional coaches for convention goers. Thank you to Steve Patterson (who was to the right of this photographer) for clarifying some information.
