Still in Durban at the moment are the four 422 Class Clyde / EMD J26C (Standard Gauge) locomotives, with 42211 in view, and the five DA Class Clyde / EMD G26C locomotives, with DAZ 1905 in view (others are DAZ 1902 / DAZ 1904 / DAZ 1903 / DAZ 1906) as well as the container flat wagons. They were part of a total of 23 locomotives of various Class / Types (all diesel), that arrived in Durban, South Africa, from Fremantle in Western Australia aboard the “Fairlift” on the 26th January 2015. It is believed that the container flats and the five DA Class locomotives will be reloaded onto another ship soon – destination possibly another African country? The four standard guage 422 Class Clyde / EMD J26C locomotives will probably be stripped of their useable parts and then scrapped in Durban. They are standing on 3'6" (Cape Gauge) pony bogies at the moment.
