Remarks & Notes |
A GP38 that was acquired by Southern when it took over the original NS leads what I think is a Georgia Florida train from Albany into the NS yard in Valdosta. The seven NS GP38s were given high-noses, but I don't think SOU installed dynamic brakes. When the shortline shop folks painted over the NS markings and added the big numerals, they did something that gave the original shiny black NS paint a much flatter, matte appearance. The trailing unit is 2881. I think this operation was sold to another shortline holding company around 2005. |
