By 1973, freight cars with the old Santa Fe logo (with pointy serifs on the letters) were already becoming rare. So whenever any 40' ice refrigerator cars with these logos showed up in Fullerton, California - which used to almost always have a string of reefers opposite the Santa Fe station - I took advantage of the situation and photographed them. Even thought it was faded, SFRD 19634 featured one of the better preserved logos.
