While it still retains the white diagonal stripes from its days on the Burlington Northern and Great Western Railway, this 1950 built SW7 now finds itself working for Liberty Railway Services as it moves freight cars needing a little TLC in and out of the repair shops at Liberty in the northern part of Pueblo. Liberty Railway Services is Colorado’s premier freight car repair facility, repairing all types of equipment but mostly dealing with auto rack and intermodal equipment which explains the presence of these cars in the BNSF and UP yards to the south. As their website states, “From heavy wrecks to random bad order, we handle it all”, and they certainly do.
