Captured in the blink of an eye, Acela Express #2012 flies through Princeton Junction station at 9:49 PM towards New York City, the last scheduled Acela of the night.
Princeton Junction, seen translucently through the Acela, is significant as it is home to the current US high speed rail record of 170.8 mph set decades ago with the UA Turbo Train back in 1967. Amtrak has yet to officially acknowledge speeds reached during last Fall's high speed test runs in advance of new and higher speeds hoped for in 2017 along this stretch of track.
