In the early 1980s, Seattle, Washington, built a trolley line along their waterfront in order to give tourists a leg up on parking hassles. The lines used several streetcars acquired from Melbourne, Australia, including car 482 seen here at the trolley barn. The line began service on May 29, 1982, but service was suspended on November 19, 2005, and the cars are now in storage.
