Remarks & Notes
Moving me down the highway! The WW&F Museum's newly-built, Turner Centre Creamery car heads off for Wiscasset, on its mission to educate the public and attract visitors to the yard in Alna. Unfortunately, the tracks of the WW&F no longer go as far south as the coastal village of Wiscasset, so in order to deliver the newly built reefer car to the display location near the site of the original Turner Centre Creamery, the car needed to make the trip on a flat-bed truck. Even in that fashion, it will be the first narrow gauge freight car to enter Wiscasset in three quarters of a century.

The car's mission to Wiscasset is not a forever thing. It will primarily be on display during the heavy tourist seasons. It is expected that the car will come back to the museum periodically, for maintenance and for special events. The museum folks just need to work out the details as to how to perform the transfers efficiently.
