On a blisteringly hot July afternoon, Union Pacific's daily West Colton, CA to Salt Lake City, UT manifest departs the small flat switching yard at Provo, Utah. On the point, a brand new ES44AC leads the charge with a two year old sibling trailing this shiny, new Armour Yellow machine. Much has changed at Provo since the summer of 2008. The daily locals to Lynndyl and from Roper are gone. Through freights like the MWCSC have moved to the Leamington Cutoff.
