| Remarks: After being pulled from the Mississippi River, the CP 4520 still remains at the scene of a derailment that happened on 12/17/2008. The remnants of SOO 4648 can be seen in the background. Around 0500 on the 17th, CP train G80 ran into the side of CP train 487 which was pulling out of the siding at River Junction West. |

Ouch, that's a lot of damage. I would be shocked if she was rebuilt. Another classic EMD will meet the scrapper's torch. |

From all of the photos and videos I have seen of the 4520, they never got this side of her. It sure is sad to see the conductors side and truly see how much damage the rebuilt GP38-2 has received. Great Shot Thomas! |

I was at CP's RTC centre in Calgary just minutes after this happened. It was a busy place. I don't know how but they said the crew was alright. |
