| In a week when winter storms caused widespread devastation, the Coast Line from LA to Oakland was cut in several places with debris from mudslides, and ocean tides eroding
track support at other points (including a tragic mudslide at La Conchita). Metrolink train sets were stranded in Moorpark forcing Metrolink to borrow this Amtrak P42DC to pull some Bombardier commuter coaches on a stub version of #113 which would only run as far as Chatsworth. The train's normal route takes it to Montalvo. AMTK #20 was delivered in October of 1996. |
