"AFTERNOON DELIGHT" NS955, chased but never subdued, slips past the ruins of Chapman's Mill in Thoroughfare Gap, VA, about mp 14 on the NS B-Line at 3:20pm on 4/10/07 The mill was built in 1742 and the Manassas Gap Railroad was finished in 1852. Later a Southern RY branchline, it is fitting that 955 is led by a venerable F unit with a Southern look to the livery. Gosh, what a wonderful sound that lead unit made passing through the gap.
