Remarks: One of the local trams in the centre of Helsinki. This livery very much resembles the old Met green & gold formerly used in Melbourne, Australia's tram network.

Remarks: Passengers and diesel smoke are not much more than blurs in this late night scene, with three HST sets sitting around. I was particularly interested to see these as they have so much in common with the XPT back home in Australia.

Remarks: Running express bound for Heathrow Airport, a Piccadilly line tube train passes through. I thought these looked ridiculously tiny out here on the surface along side normal sized trains!

Remarks: Outside the Greater London boundary, yet still served frequently by the 'tube', sleepy Moor Park is disturbed by the arrival of a London-bound service from Watford. Built in the early 1960s, these sets are nearing the end of their service life.

Remarks: It would be nice if this train was actually going to Coldstream, as the destination states, which is a disused platform about 5km past the end of the wire at Lilydale!

Remarks: Citybound spark from Upfield leaves the rather dingy station at Macaulay in the inner city. This peculiar location had a freeway built over it in the 1990s, making it immune from any natural light - it was a bright sunny day when I took this!
