Remarks: Earlier in the day 42 was under repair, so it was a nice surprise to find her being tested out on the turntable by the shop crew that evening. I appreciated their patience in allowing me to get a few photos before she was put away. Taken with permission.
Remarks: The Belt Job with MNNR 48 briefly stops so a switch can be lined, giving me an opportunity to grab a shot of the Hennepin Job on an adjacent track. Luckily the RS-27s have not yet been stored for winter. Taken with permission.
Remarks: The bright lights of Minnesota Commercial's roundhouse illuminate MNNR 50 which will not sit quietly for long. It will soon be started and assigned to Job 88, the Northtown Transfer. Taken with permission.
Remarks: BNSF created the SD39-2 model from rebuilt SD40-2s that are derated to 2300hp and equipped for remote control operation. Here a lone SD39-2 handles a cut of grain hoppers at Northtown Yard.
