Remarks: A record shot only, on a day not conducive to photography, BN SD40 6312 backs into a snowy DUT with 321 and 322 on #5 San Francisco Zephyr in early January 1982. The SD40 had presumably piloted the SFZ from Nebraska, while the westbound service departed with UP GP40X pilot 9002.

Remarks: 5362 5397 5377 5388 and 5399 make a smoky start from Troublesome siding, east of Kremmling, with #708 eastbound 105 car coal from Phippsburg in June 1981. In the distance can be seen the headlight of the four SD40T-2 helpers alongside the westbound Rio Grande Zephyr, with business car Wilson McCarthy bring up the rear.

Remarks: Back to the Future - 50+ year old S303 and B74 combine with T357 and Y145 to lift 9162 up grain from Sea Lake away from Maryborough in a perfect evening light. The first three locomotives have been restored to service in former Victorian Railways livery by the Seymour Railway Heritage Centre and are on hire to El Zorro for this year's grain season.
