During a brief summer downpour a CN ES44AC leads 570 into the Cheakamus Canyon 17 miles from its terminus in Squamish, BC.... (DPU's were CN 2660 and CN2502)
The Lackawanna and the Central of New Jersey Heritage units gave a nice two for one show during a recrew at Reading Yard.

Trains run on crappy days too - the saying always goes. Here a Roseville heads through South Merced under a heavy cloud layer, approaching a rural crossing with cross buck protection only.
Nothing like a super clean lead and a perfectly angled sun to make a truly dull grade crossing wedgie look kind of special.
