Sitting in the foreground the METX 112 is being moved in the BNSF Metra yard in Chicago. If memory serves this yard had slang name "The Tiger Pitt" years back.

Originally Built as the RTA 184, an F40PH-2, The METX 184 pulls south out of Lasalle Street Station, Chicago. This shot is right along Clark Street as the train heads for the 16th Street Diamond.

AMTK 153 pulls off the BNSF Chicago Sub toward 18th Street to prep for a shove move into Chicago Union Station.

Warbonnets on freight became more common as more passenger trains disappeared. May have kept the silver units together due to gearing differences with blue units.

a Rock Island Alco C415 # 419 works the roads yard at Blue Island in August 1978 these units were common in the Chicago area. and were used a lot on transfer runs
