The UP transfer train, MMENLD, heads out of town as it passes Kentucky Street with NS 9617 in the lead and Ferrocarril Mexicano 4618 in the number three spot.

UP 9733 brings the MNLMED train down City Main 1, enroute to CN Johnston Yard, as it passes Specialty Feeds Inc.

When I left for Marion to go check out the coal traffic, I left one train sitting here at Kentucky St. When I came back, I was greeted by two more.

Timing is everything. The end of this BNSF pig rounded the corner just as the head end of the UP pig came around.

I knew I had to grab this one. It just looked too good not to snap it.

Westbound intermodal train NS 213 passes through the campus of the University of Memphis with NS engines 7145, 7150 & 7142 for power as it apporaches the Highland Street corssing.

A nice "coupling" of CSX and BNSF slowly crosses over the Kansas Street Lead switch on the Thayer South Sub in downtown Memphis.

The NS to UP transfer MMEPBB is quite long today as it passes under the signals at CN Junction and disappears around the bend in the distance.

BNSF 5308, along with engines BNSF 1097 & EMD 9024, lead a train of 54 coils on the U BIRPIT1 31A train. UP's MMEPBB can be seen in the distance disappearing around the curve.

CN's President's Island crew takes the transfer train from the NS to CN Johnston Yard via the BNSF's Thayer South Sub. UP's ILCNS heads for a transfer to the NS with engine 4653 in the lead as it ... (more)

The CN to UP transfer train comes off the CN Memphis Sub at CN Junction onto the BNSF Thayer South Sub enroute to the UP Memphis Sub.

IC 1033 takes a loaded grain train by the Liberty Bowl as it approaches the Southern Avenue Overpass.
