These hills are almost unreal when standing at the edge of tunnel 2 of the Tehachapi mountains

A southbound BNSF Z-train exits the 230-foot long Tunnel 1 to the left of the frame as it climbs toward Bealville while running on approaches behind a UP drag freight.

BNSF 5481 leads a southbound manifest train (all boxcars) into the late afternoon sunlight and through the S-curve just before entering Tunnel 2 between Caliente and Bealville.
