4 SD70Ms idle the night away at Tehachapi Summit, on the point of an eastbound military special.

A trio of C45ACCTE's battle up the final few miles of Tehachapi's western grade with a monster Roseville to West Colton, CA manifest in tow. The train has 3 EMDs cut in mid-train.

With fresh new SD70ACe 8690 on the point, UP's AOASPX drops down into the Mojave "sink" passing one of the many classic search lights on the Mojave Sub. The train is running 1x1 today.

After holding at South Mojave for UP's ZLCLT to clear, the AOASPX is again on the move. The 1x1 autorack train is rolling along at track speed as it climbs out of Mojave and up Ansel hill.

UP Dash 8 41CW 9399 and SD60M 2507 work their way south with the LOP53.

Some WP heritage brings up the rear of UP's hot ZLCLT as it glides along the Mojave Sub heading west (north).

BNSF 4029 drops down the 2.2% grade between Bealville and Caliente with a westbound intermodal train. The train is still emerging from tunnel 1, which is at the top of the Caliente horse-shoe.

BNSF 7818 grinds its way out of old Cajon station and up the 2.2% to Sullivan's curve. The eastbound stack train is battling up main 1, just under UP's Mojave Sub (ex SP Palmdale-Colton Cutoff).

BNSF ES44C4 6679 heels to the curves of Sullivan's curve as it drops down main 2.
