This Metra backs into CUS to load passengers.
The windshield wipers appear to have gotten a good workout from the heavy storms two days ago.
The new meets the old here twice as a new MP36 and an older F40PH-2 pass under the old CB&Q and the new BNSF signal bridges.
I took several pictures as this train waited waited at the station...this is the best angle of an MP36 I found.
402 "State of Illinois" speeds through Belmont Curve.
The sun and clouds collaborated perfectly in this shot!...to screw it up...
Passing under the soon to be history CB&Q bridge in Hinsdale. They have already put the poles up for the new signals.
Metra 406 enters Naperville leading F40 184 and an 8-car 1283.
405 has a long train in this unremarkable photo.
Still I wonder, who'll stop the rain....
From the personal pre-creativity archives comes this shot of a shovelnose and that thing on #3 track.
184 is behind 406....shame though it is.
Continuing on from Tristan's shot (www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=67318), you can clearly see that the MP36 passed the F40 just before the crossing.
This isn't really anything special - this happens almost every weekday.
Metra 414 backs to down to it's train at the North end of CUS.
