EJ&E 671 doing flat switching duties at the south end of the former EJ&E Joliet Yard. Soon a new signal bridge will go up thanks to the CN.
On a perfect, Fall morning, the JSW1 local heads south through Shorewood, powered by a pair of those wonderful, orange SD38-2's.
The conductor heads back inside, as JSW1 rolls south for another trip down the River Line.
Both are now partners on the CN Railway.
EJ&E 659 works the south lead job at Markham Yard on a very warm afternoon.

A busy scene on a very nice fall morning at Homewood.
The J units are scattered about the terminals of the CN in IL/WI/IA for local service, #667 getting a Dubuque, IA., assignment.

L507, CN's westbound train from Kirk Yard to Markham Yard, passes through Griffith, IN., with a solo EJ&E SD38-2 for power.
Shortly before departing Markham, the 665 posed for a few shots.
EJ&E 669 has a load of about 25 or so cars for Markham Yard on a very short L507 local. Usually this train is over 120 cars
A 272 axle JSW1, the longest I've ever seen on the River Line, nears the end of its journey. 668 is currently the only repainted EJ&E so far.
The Dubuque switch crew parked these engines next to the CN yard office and got on M33791 to make a pick-up in the yard and then took the train west to West Peosta for a crew change.
