First day of service for Amtrak's new train between Lynchburg, VA and Washington, DC (continuing on the Northeast Corridor beyond Washington).

This Richmond-bound Northeast Direct service is running about 45 minutes late, and sports two HHP-8 locomotives - pans up on both.
