Many of the crossing flashers were not yet in service, requiring the AVR crew to flag each crossing. If not for this practice we would not have been able to chase this job.
One of the first AVR trains to use the ex-CSX P&W Sub north of Pittsburgh exits the Glenshaw Tunnel. The crew was aware that we were going to flash them coming out of the tunnel. :)
After running west on the P&W, AVR 1 stops at Bloom where he awaits clearance to enter the NS main.

An assortment of AVR power makes another trip to Island Ave. where they'll pick up a second cut of cars from NS.
SWP #2001 is bringing up the rear on this SWP local heading for Everson.
After setting a few cars over the the main, the SWP-1 starts heading towards American Glass with sand.
SWP 2002 lugs a pair of empty sand cars with the giant Sony Corporation as a backdrop!
