The 463 sits over the ash pit after dropping its fire. The loco was used on a Jim Trowbridge special that day. The ash pit has since been replaced.

Two oil trains pass each other at Savanna. The east bound train had two CSX units on the front. BNSF SD70MAC 9969 brings up the rear.

Engine 484 climbs the 4% grade to Cumbres and is about to pull into the station as it crosses an old wooden trestle.

Conrail SD60's bring a loaded coal train into Altoona off of Horseshoe Curve. Three SD45-2's are on the rear helping to bring it down.

This is a pretty big facility. Besides the UP locos, there can be seen locos from MoPac and even a BN U30C.

The 315 climbs through the Los Pinos Valley with a ten car train. It will soon reach Cumbres and do its switching duties there.

Double header takes a train up to Cumbres on the 4% grade as it crosses Highway 17 at Coxo. The helper will be removed at Cumbres and then return light to Chama.
