One of the last former MidSouth GP10s to make a final stand on KCS was the 1081 which is seen teaming up with a KCS GP40-2 on a local job while drilling cars in Monroe, La.
A westbound KCS manifest is seen bearing down on the the east side of Monroe, La. with a leased ex SSW SD45T-2 leading which was a welcome sight to my lens.
