The north wayfreight today is ferrying extra GE's along with its usual trio of SD40-2's. The GE's will be used to power a loaded coal train which is tied down on the Windermere Sub.
An all-UP consist (8306 and 8272, with 8291 cut in mid-train) rolls North Dakota grain through Fernie, enroute to the PNW.
