A shabby ex-B&O E8A (assisted by a leased SCL E7A) is on the headend of the Floridian during its stop at Montgomery's equally shabby Union Station.

Southern acquired a big batch of SD24s (48) in 1959/60, but they would have short lives, leaving the roster in 1978.

The Napoleon local works the soup plant prior to heading to Malinta and the mainline. In 1983 the Napoleon branch ended a few hundred yards behind 222, but this had once been DT&I's mainline.
