Not sure if this sucker still works or not, but it was bathed in sun and begged to be photographed! Anyone know the history of this unit?
Profile shot of EMDX 9075 leading a westbound empty coal drag with a TFM SD70MAC into the yard...
I get a friendly wave from the left seater as BNSF 5298 with two EMDs elephant away from E. Grand Forks...
BNSF 2369 chugs the Devil's Lake Local through Emerado enroute to cut some grain cars in Arvilla, Larimore, and down the Mayville Sub.
Westbound BNSF 4120 throttles up as it leaves Larimore. If you look closely, you can see the tiny change in elevation inbound to Larimore.
Loaded grain slows as it rounds the bend in Arvilla. Even though it looks like it trailing off into the background, this was not a BNSF 'earthworm' grain train...
The welded rails of the Devil's Lake Sub reach toward the setting sun as a rural cross buck is left behind to deal with the impending night. Another great ND sunset...
Interesting old SW works the silo just north of town along the Glasston Sub. Check out the signal lights on the cab exterior.
A BN tri-clops and an ex-SP tunnel motor throttle up after clearing the S-curves between here and Arvilla for the jaunt west toward Minot.
A whiteface tri-clops rounds the bend in Arvilla enroute to Minot. This train slowed for this curve and the one up ahead in Larimore, where she was really leaning! Digital Rebel XT.
BNSF 5298 leads a long coal drag around the sweeping curve just west of Fisher. Note the rest of the train visible trailing to the left of the frame.
A mighty Oak(way) leads a loaded coal drag into the yard off the Hillsboro Sub. Neat to see the 'GM' still intact...
An odd-looking (in Pumpkin I paint anyway) B40-8 leads a 106-car manifest off the wye across Demers Ave.
All three monsters are cranking out tremendous horsepower as C-RBMCOB throttles away from E. Grand Forks at Station Sign Simplot.
Oakway 9075 leads the empty Clay Boswell coal drag south (RR east) on the Hillsboro Sub. Note that you can still see the "GM" on the lead unit's nose...
