An HST rolls along the famous sea wall, rolling past the old Coast Guard cottage. The iconic HST 125 now in service for 40 years will be replaced by the Class 800 / 802 series in the years ahead.
Waves lash at an HST. The waves can get considerably bigger here and in October 2014 took out part of the line. With the treat of storms and climate change an inland route is being studied.
GWR HST rolls along the sea wall. This section was destroyed by a storm in 2014 and rebuilt months later. There is talk reopening a route inland as this is the only line into the southwest.
A set of Pacers rolls along the repaired part of the sea wall. A storm in February 2014 destroyed this section. The pacers are set to be withdrawn.
