NS 37A rolls under the bridge and thru the ditch in West Park on one towards Island Avenue. CN SD70M #8823 lashed up second in the consist was a nice surprise.

Q394 appears out of the bowels of J&L tunnel on the south side of Pittsburgh. J&L tunnel is suppose to be modified/ possibly torn out with the double stack project going on.

AVR transfer run heads east on NS Pittsburgh line towards Bloom Junction with CSX.

In this elevated perspective, we see a westbound NS mixed bag starting down the OC Ramps and heading towards Conway.

A pair of NS Dash 9's lead a lengthy drag freight down the OC Ramps, coming off the Mon Line to take the Fort Wayne Line into Conway Yard.

Now in position on top of the hill, I begin to compose my shot for the next train. I hear one coming, but before it gets into view, a southbound comes by, blocking that shot which I had planned.

I was hiking up to a shot I'd been wanting to do when I heard this train coming on the Mon Line. I was hoping to be about 150' higher, but had to settle for this view as there wasn't enough time ... (more)

Amtrak 66 leads the morning's Capitol Limited as it makes it's daily station stop. 30 left Alliance OH 35 minutes late and arrived into Pittsburgh 10 minutes early, now that's making up time.
