Remarks & Notes
"Palmerston" and "Prince" of the "Small England class" with a train of empty slate waggons are rounding the spiral in Dduallt on the way up to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Both locomotives were built in 1864 by George England Co., when the Ffestiniog Railway changed from horse to steamlocomotive working.
