| The conductor of Southern Pacific's "Madera Flyer" (the Madera Local) gives a friendly wave as the train passes a grove of olive trees behind a "Crud" as it heads north (railroad west) out of Fresno, California. SP owned 240 SW1500 locomotives, such as SP 2670, designed by EMD as switchers but used by SP for everything from yard power to locals (such as this) to mainline consists! |
