The First Metroliner.
Amtrak Metroliner cab car no. 9645 is the lead unit on Keystone Service train 649 seen rapidly approaching New Brunswick Station in the Northeast Corridor. This cab car was originally no. 800, the class unit for the Metroliner EMUs built by Budd in 1967. It and many siblings were converted to "control coaches" in the 1980s - 800 specifically in July 1989.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
