On the snow-filled afternoon of March 24th, 2024, Amtrak P42DC #130, painted in the Phase II heritage scheme, leads southbound Vermonter Train 57 through South Royalton Station, Vermont on the New England Central Railroad Roxbury Subdivision.

The successor to the Montrealer, the Vermonter runs between St. Albans, Vt., and Washington, DC. Much of the northern part of the route runs along the Connecticut and White Rivers.
