In front of the shed in Weinfelden is standing the blue Ae 477 # 905 of the Lokoop in the special paint scheme for the Nostalgie Istanbul Orient Express (NIOE) of the Reisebüro Mittelthurgau. The locomotive was built by the LEW Hennigsdorf as 242 # 191 for the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) in 1971. Bought by the Mittel-Thurgau-Bahn (MThB) in april 1994 (together with 17 others of this type) for free acess freight trains in Switzerland. Adapted for running in Switzerland with an electric brake, train protection system and multiple control system IIId by Stadler in Busnang. Then taken over by the daughter compagny Lokoop and designated Ae 477 # 905, with this new paint scheme. After bankrupt of the Lokoop (and MThB) in autumn 2002 the locomotive came to the SBB, but was stabled in Frauenfeld, Weinfelden Süd and later Etzwilen. In 2003 sold to the german Westfälische Almetalbahn (WAB) as # 55, since 2015 owned by Deutsche Privatbahn GmbH and stabled in Wittenberge today. On the right is the red Re 416 # 627 of the Mittel-Thurgau-Bahn, former Re 4/4 I # 10016 of the SBB, built in 1945 by SLM, BBC and MFO, On the left is a articulated lowfloor diesel railcar Bm 596 # 67. of the Mittel-Thurgau-Bahn, built by Stadler, SLM and Adtranz in 1996 and used on the Radolfzell-Stockach line in Germany for the "Seehäsle".
