Remarks & Notes
Heavy former Great Western 2-8-0 tank engine # 4277 "Hercules", built in 1920 in the Swindon works, now running for the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company, is pulling the 16.15 Kingswear to Paignton train along the coast near Goodrington Sands. This class of locomotive was designed for use on heavy coal trains in the Welsh valleys, although two of the class were allocated to St. Blazey in Cornwall for china clay traffic.
