On the night of January 9th, 2023, GATX Locomotive Group (GMTX) EMD GP38-2 2204 (built as PC 7947), painted in New York & Atlantic Railway colors, sits surrounded by the ghostly remains of the once busy CSX Croton West Yard in Croton-on-Hudson, NY while awaiting clearance inspection by Metro North-Railroad. 2204 is on long term lease to the New York & Atlantic Railway to assist with growing service demands.
