PORTLAND OR Aug 20 1981 — Union Pacific SW10 1202 handles a cut of cars at Albina Yard with the Fremont Bridge overhead. EMD built the unit (b/n 18854) as SW9 1866 in November 1953. Utahrails.net records that, “UP 1866 was rebuilt to SW10 1866; completed on January 25, 1980; renumbered to UP 1202 after January 29, 1980, the date of a recently discovered slide.” The unit was rebuilt on EMD order number 4216.
