PUEBLO CO Aug 23 1981 — Rio Grande GP7 5108 poses for a roster shot. EMD built the unit in June 1952. Rio Grande retired it in March 1984. According to Utahrails.net, “D&RGW 5108 was sold to Mid-America Car, Kansas City, Missouri, on 20 June 1984 (along with seven GP9s) in partial payment for the painting of the 23 ex Conrail GP40s; sold to Kyle Railways 5108. Kyle 5108 was seen at Mid-America Car again in August 1987 and was then sold to Texas & Northern 997, where was still in service as of October 2001.
