On ausgust 10, a northbound freight train derailed in the Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT) and since then, both bores are closed. All passenger trains and some freights, which are able to go through the lower claerance, are rerouted over the "old" mountain line, now called panorama line. "Giruno" highspeed train RABe 501 # 017 "Fribourg/Freiburg" of the SBB is running as train IC 10156 from Lugano to Basel over the Gotthard mountain line between Giornico and Lavorgo, while on the uppermost level of the loops in the Biaschina, you can see the train 31367 VENICE SIMPLON-ORIENT-EXPRESS (VSOE) Paris-Venice on the Pianotondo viaduct. Train 31367 needed 4 minutes and 15 seconds from the uppermost level to the point of the photographer.
