BNSF 2851 is the former ATSF 3447, ex-ATSF 3635, ex-ATSF 3135, originally ATSF 3635. Yes, it wore its original number twice, as the GP39-2s were renumbered in anticipation of the Southern Pacific-Santa Fe merger, which never occurred, and so it got renumbered back again once the ICC gave the merger a "thumbs down."
