Remarks & Notes

Santa Fe 3282 rests on its side, the victim of a derailment just north of highway 138 in Cajon Pass. Note the front coupler has been completely snapped off. Heavy rain storms caused track damage and ATSF 3338, ATSF 2959, ATSF 3282 and ATSF 3279 derailed, apparently after hitting a front-end loader working in the area.
