| Soo Line 6240 (1 of 54 SD39's made by EMD) leads a Lake States train out of Milwaukee, WI in May of 1987. Much has changed since this photo was taken. The Milwaukee skyline has added a building or two. Milwaukee Solvay Coke (to the right of the train), laid vacant for many years but is now home to Komatsu. The CNW track on the far left is now a trail and the ex-MILW is down to 3 tracks here. Somehow the signal bridge still remains..... |
