Missouri-Kansas-Texas GP38-2 314 was built by GM’s Electro-Motive Division in August 1974. This Geep was renumbered to Union Pacific 2345 in 1990. (I love locomotives with consecutive numbers!) It was renumbered again, to UP 845, in the early 2000s to clear numbers for UP’s newly renumbered SD60M diesels, which were themselves being renumbered to make way for the then-new 6000-series AC4400CWs from the 1996 mergers. When spotted on July 15, 2022, UP 845 was assigned to The Andersons Elevator in Paxton, Nebraska. (Thanks to Joe Ferguson for additional roster assistance on this!)
