| The power of former NS 48A (future NS 49A) rests in the sun at Ardent Mills. All three engines are rare birds for these parts. The first two engines are SD70ACU rebuilds NS 7297 and NS 7278 (former SD90MACs NS 7297/UP 3531/UP 8069 and NS 7278/UP 3542/UP 8050, respectively). The front unit was rebuilt in April of 2016 and the second unit in March of 2017. The third engine is CP 8853 (ES44AC). |
