After a major pre-winter snowstorm hit Colorado’s front range, it dawned clear on October 26, 1997. At the east switch of Rocky siding, an eastbound Union Pacific coal trainis led by Southern Pacific GE AC4400CWs as it drops downgrade toward Denver in the fresh snow.
