| Eastbound coal train CROHS-6 from the Rojo Mine to Halstead, TX cruises through Odessa, NE on a cool but sunny early March day. At this time the triple-track project between North Platte and Gibbon was progressing with ballast being laid and switches yet to be cut-in for the new control point at Odessa. Thus it was a two main track railroad at present and mighty crowded. While it appears there is triple track north of the new iron, the old Odessa center siding remains for the time being. |
