Remarks & Notes
This days, the sister EURO9000 locomotive of # 300, the # 301, made test runs on the Gotthard mountain line for the wheel/rail forces. For this purpose, the locomotive is equipped with 2 measuring axles on the uphill bogie (first and third axle) and a large number of cables are attached. A couchette car Bcm of the Deutsche Bahn serves for the staff and for braking. This is one of the world's most powerful hybrid electric/diesel sixaxle locomotives built by StadlerRail in Valencia/Spain, owned by European Loc Pool AG, Frauenfeld/Switzerland (ELP). EURO9000 # 301 is running at about 80 km/h through the 300 meter radius Wattinger curve between Gurtnellen and Wassen, with the village and church of Wassen in the background. The building visible above the car is the Wassen station building, where the train will pass in about one minute in the opposite direction, running through the loops at Wassen.
